The first time I went and got my Chakras aligned, I was greeted by a soft spoken, beautiful woman in a small room with a massage table, a flower of life tapestry hanging behind it, the smokey scent of incense calmly welcomed me in.
I hadn't actually found my spiritual awakening at this point, but this was day one of where I was to go. To be extremely honest, I was skeptical on the whole thing. It was kind of a spontaneous idea, as I passed over an ad for chakra alignment. There were things I was dealing with that I couldn't ''put-my-finger-on'', but I knew I needed SOMETHING to shift.
So there I was, laying down under a thin sheet as she explained what she was doing. She also discussed a basic understanding of what each chakra was, which was, at the time, a bit to chew on. However, we went through my session and I had enormous, vivid, visions. Afterwards, she hit on which chakra was blocked and to my surprise, she was able to pin-point EXACTLY what was going on with me, that I couldn't communicate.
The biggest blockage I had was my throat chakra. See below for more, but for a sneak-peek, this is the chakra that energizes your communication.

Introduction to Chakras
Everything in life is connected. You may feel this already when it comes to your (physical) body. For example, maybe you can feel the difference when you eat clean food vs. when you eat junk food. Or maybe even more physically, you can feel your muscles when you work out harder than before, or nervousness when you drink too much coffee.
Although it may be hard to recognize at first, your body that is physical here on earth, is not the only one you are working with. Ask any quantum physicist and they'll be quick to let you know that everything operates on it's own vibrational frequency, because everything is composed of energy. That is what chakras engage, your energy body.
The Sanskirt word, 'cakra', which means wheel, is where we got the word Chakra.
Many great civilizations such as the Greeks, Incas, the Maya, Hindus, Chinese, and many more have all known of Chakras, or energy centers.
